2 international youth orchestra festivals & 1 international congress


  • 23 orchestras, choirs, chamber music ensembles and individuals musicians have participated: 8 symphony orchestras, 3 string orchestras, 1 tambura orchestra, 2 choirs, 9 chamber music ensembles
  • 580 young musicians
  • Eight laureates of the International Eurochestries Contest had the opportunity to play play as a soloist during a festival: Amélie Bentham (Trumpet - France) in the Eurochestries Deux-Sèvres Festival ; Maria Rita Pinheiro Monteiro (Bassoon - Portugal), Rafael Esparrell (Clarinet - Brazil), Victor Teodosiev (Horn - Bulgaria), Odile González Babiaud (Violin - Spain), Sabin Iordache (Oboe - Romania), Chiara De Grandis (Flute - Italy) & Cristóbal González Babiaud (Cello - Spain) during the Eurochestries Charente-Maritime Festival
  • 12 different countries: Brazil, Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Croatia, Spain, France, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Portugal, Romania, Ukraine

    1 single festival: the Eurochestries Charente-Maritime Festival "Brass, winds and voices!"


    • Wind instruments and musicians highlighted with the participation of 2 brass ensembles, 1 wind ensemble, 1 choir, 2 wind quintets, 2 quartets
    • 120 young musicians

    • 4 renowned guests to celebrate the anniversary of the Eurochestries in Charente Maritime: the pianist Pascal AMOYEL (France), the tenor Kévin AMIEL (France), the soprano Elina NECHAYEVA (Estonia), and the young violinist Rémy WANG (France-China)
    • 1 musical creation for 30 years: "Eurochestries: 30 years" by Pedro Galvez Jiménez (Spain)

    2016 A great success !

    The 14 different countries present: Spain, Russia, France, Estonia, Brazil, China, Mexico, Canada, Belarus, Poland, Latvia, Bulgaria, Finland and Ireland.


    • 870 young musicians participated, through 23 ensembles: 7 symphony orchestras, 3 string orchestras, 1 chamber orchestra, 3 choirs, 5 chamber music ensembles, 6 wind ensembles, 1 accordion orchestra. 54 “individual” musicians took part in international orchestras.
    • 101 concerts were given: in France (departments of Vienne, Charente Maritime, Charente, Gironde, Paris), in Canada (Kamouraska, Baie-Saint-Paul, Quebec) and in Russia (Syzran)
    • 38,000 spectators
    • Conductors, composers and guest teachers:

    The festivals hosted:

    3 guest conductors foreigners: James Sparks (Canada), Normunds Dregis (Latvia) and Leandro L. Serafim (Brazil) in France.

    - 1 composer in residence for the creation of his piece: Yves Bouillot (France), for “Rhapsodie albanaise”.

    Dr Adeline Stervinou, researcher, (Brazil-France) was present at festivals in France and Russia. 

    Dr Marco Toledo, researcher (Brazil) followed the festival in Canada.


    The closing concerts, bringing together the musicians of the festival in international orchestras, each time ended the festival in apotheosis.

    The Eurochestries in 2015


    • The 16 different countries present: Spain, France, Mexico, Brazil, Poland, Canada, Russia, China, Croatia, Argentina, Romania, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Italy and Austria.
    • 800 young musicians participated, through 26 ensembles: 8 symphony orchestras, 2 string orchestras, 1 chamber orchestra, 2 choirs, 11 chamber music ensembles, 1 plectrum orchestras (tambouras) and 1 cello ensemble. 59 "individual" musicians have participated in international orchestras.
    • 122 concerts were given: in France (departments of Deux-Sèvres, Charente Maritime, Charente, Dordogne, Gironde, Paris, Orne, Val de Marne, Seine and Marne), in Mexico (Tepoztlan, Morelos), in Brazil (Sobral and Fortaleza), in Canada (Kamouraska, Baie-Saint-Paul, Quebec).
    • 27,000 spectators
    • Conductors, composers and guest teachers:

    The festivals hosted:

    - 3 guest conductors foreigners: James Sparks (Canada) in Brazil; Jüri-Ruut Kangur (Estonia) in France; Didier Descamps (France) in Canada.

    - 2 composers in residence for the creation of their piece: Michel Delage (France), for “The doors of the ocean” (commissioned by the Assem17), and Etienne Kippelen (France), for “Entre terre et mer”.

    - Two violin teachers for master-classes: Colette Babiaud (France) in Brazil and Niko Managazze (Spain) in Canada.

    2014 celebrated 25 years of Eurochestries!

    2 Eurochestries festivals, 2 partner festivals, as well as orchestral tours and concerts were on the program this summer:


    • Festival in Vienne (France)
    • Festival in Charente Maritime (France)
    • Tour of the orchestra of the musical school of Graz (Austria) in France (Paris and Normandy) (with the association Le concert de Monsieur de Saint-George)
    • Tour of the National French Accordion Orchestra in Quebec (with International Musical Tours)
    • A festival in Togliatti, Russia ("Classic on the Volga"), organized in partnership with Eurochestries
    • A festival in Syzran, Russia ("the silver trumpets of the Volga), organized in partnership with Eurochestries
    • An international congress with the participation of around 40 people from 8 different countries
